Dad's House

Maybe his back garden has been a bit neglected over the last few years. I think I'm going to have to have a go at doing it up before we can sell the house...there is also all his stuff as well, just boxes and boxes of stuff that I don't know what to do with. Books, photos, letters, computers, electronics, crockery. Normally, I'd put it in my loft and think about what to do with it later, but I don't have a loft, we got it converted so Oscar could have a bedroom! Help...

keep the important stuff that has memories, sell anything that you dont want that is worth selling, give the money to charity if you feel bad and bin the rest. Its the only way i'm afraid!

Good advice Gemma, it's only "stuff" at the end of the day, it's just tough because a lot of it is old stuff I used to see/play with when I was kid x

yeah know how you feel kind of. Its not exactly the same but when my parents got divorced my mum moved out and took loads of stuff, then my dad chucked aload of stuff out. The house is now for sale and my dad doesnt spend much time there, but when we visit him its so empty, its so sad as that was our family home and now its just nothing but an empty house and doesnt feel like home atall. Losing memories is hard xx
